Women in the Genealogy of Christ
by Gail Kennedy Keffer
There are five women mentioned the Genealogy of Christ. Ruth and Mary are well known to us, but Tamar and Rahab are not. It is interesting that Bathsheba is just referred to as the wife of Uriah, but not by her own name. Each has a story that may make us wonder why she is there, but the story is interesting when we realize that we are all human, and so God can use each one of us, sinful as we are, to do His work.
